Study of the mask through drawings and anatomic measurements (for masks to be used on stage).
Development of the clay study, fixing all measurements taken (cheek-bones, distance betweeen the eyes, nose, etc.).
Construction of a wooden or fiberglass cast over which the leather mask will be tooled.
The leather, soaked in warm water, is tooled over the cast prepared. It is easily tooled and modeled by means of wooden spatulas until it fits tightly to all the creases of the mould; once it is half dry, it is hammered with a special horn hammer.
